Abstract :
A computer control loop has been implemented for the regulation of the Universities´ Research Reactor at very-low-power levels where the reactor-signal dynamics can be represented by stationary stochastic distributions. Optimum mean-square-error compensators were derived using a numerical method and implemented on a PDP8E computer which controlled a high-speed stepping motor assembly in the reactor core.
