Abstract :
Quasisynchronous operation of mobile radio transmitters leads, in general, to the production of harmonic distortion in the output of the a.m. mobile receiver, which, in turn, degrades the quality and intelligibility of the message. The paper analyses the spectrum of the receiver output and derives graphs for the dependence of this distortion on the various parameters of the system. The results provide useful guidelines for the design or assessment of quasisynchronous systems.
