Abstract :
One can learn a lot about the later years of a person´s life by examining his or her medical records. In the case of Charles Babbage, his reputation as “an irascible genius” can be understood much better if one knows that he suffered a number of physical ailments. In an attempt to shed some further light on the later life of this man, we present some of the medical reports produced after his death
