Abstract :
We report magnetic and GMR properties of Fe/Ag and Co/Ag granular films prepared by low-energy cluster deposition. The mean size of embedded particles was estimated to be about 23 nm, and the size varied slightly depending on the concentration. In the case of Fe/Ag films, magnetic interaction between magnetic particles increased gradually with an increase in the particle concentration, while in the case of Co/Ag films, no interparticle interaction was observed. The interactions affected the GMR properties, and this caused apparent differences between the Co/Ag and Fe/Ag systems
