Abstract
In this work, we propose the use of directional antennas in a recently introduced information-theoretic location verification system (LVS) to improve its performance and reliability. Moreover, in the so-called LVS with directional antennas (LVS-DA), a realistic two-slope large scale fading model suitable to vehicular networks is considered. Numerical results show that the proposed LVS-DA scheme outperforms the original scheme, increasing the detection capability of malicious nodes in the system.
