  • Abstract
Probably the single, most important concept for the minimization of conventional radiography and fluoroscopy is the flat-panel electronic sensor which, within the size limitations of a conventional film/screen cassette, will perform the acquisition and digitisation of an X-ray image, and communicate this image immediately to a video monitor. Their simplicity, compactness, and overall superior performance will enable them to find their way into all clinical X-ray tasks
