Abstract :
Sufficient conditions for the stability of a linear system containing a time-varying gain are well-known. The results obtained by Brockett and Forys and by Gruber and Willems contain a local bound on the rate of variation of the gain. A short proof of the results of Gruber and Willems using the passive-operator technique is indicated here.
