Abstract :
A novel approach to the description of fine wires in coarse numerical models is described. The technique is based on an exact modal expansion of the fields around a wire and their mapping onto the total field at the cell boundary. The technique is accurate, overcomes existing limitations and can be extended to other fine feature objects
