Abstract :
The fabrication of a polarisation-dependent loss (PDL) equaliser using tilted fibre Bragg grating in standard telecommunication fibre is demonstrated. The equaliser has a predetermined level of PDL in a specific wavelength range, which is studied to compensate for the PDL of a component or system
