Abstract
A novel adaptive signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) estimation algorithm for a DS-CDMA cellular system is proposed. The algorithm uses Kalman filtering. The coefficients of which are varied according to the mobile station speed. Simulations show significantly improved performance over the conventional algorithm found in the literature
