  • Abstract
    The paper gives the design aspects, descrption and performance of a gas discharge helix-coupled noise source for the 1700¿2300 Mc/s band. A minimum coupling of 15 db is maintained throughout the band. Satisfactory matching is obtained in both the struck and unstruck state, thus facilitating easy noise figure measurements with an accuracy of 0.2 db
