Abstract :
The paper deals with electronic computing devices intended to fill the gap between the more complex mechanical calculators and the simpler forms of general purpose electronic computer. After a discussion of design considerations, the overall concept of a particular solution to this problem is described, with some details of the resulting equipment. Some configurations suitable for known applications are outlined, and the useful limits of the concept are discussed.
