Abstract
A Microgrid Emulator is developed for use with an in-house microgrid testbed. The power generated is real power, the solar panels are replaced with a programmable power supply which follows the voltage current curves of any real solar panel that has been chosen to emulate. The inverter is a real in-house developed inverter. The development of a solar power emulator on a microgrid testbed permits researchers to study power stability issues due to the intermittent nature of solar power and test various inverter control algorithms. An early success is presented.
