Abstract
A method of applying decision feedback to the decoding of IS-95 uplink frames is described. Bit values which have been determined by a Viterbi (1995) decoder are used to modify the probability measures of convolution coded bits which have not yet been used by the decoder, in order to improve the bit error rate (BER) performance. The method is analyzed from a probabilistic viewpoint and simulation results are presented
