Abstract
The Lesser Developed Countries (LDCs) of the 1980s are fairly well aware of the modern technological trends and progress made in the more advanced countries, especially in electronic information technology and are quite eager to keep pace with them. But several obstacles lie in their path of progress. This paper amplifies the authors´ experience of such problems, and describes some pioneering R&D work done by the second author, as a hobbyist inventor, for promoting electronic information processing in some LDC languages.
