Abstract :
In this paper, optimization algorithm that improves simplex method is proposed. Simplex method searches optimal point in the opposite direction of the worst point, which eliminates the worst point in next generation search. However this method has its weakness on fast searching. To supplement limitation of simplex method, proposed method is adopting algorithm to search optimal point by crossover toward the best point, not eliminating the worst one. Lastly, optimization algorithm is applied to designing electric machine with Finite Element Method (FEM) to validate algorithm.
