Abstract
This paper investigates the viability and challenges of building a single-phase PV-inverter as AC and DC power have to be decoupled, this is normally not an issue as inverters with a high power rating have a three-phase (constant power) output. Three different options are considered. And one of the cases is simulated. A Formula is developed for the needed capacitance for decoupling along with the relevant theoretical background.
