Abstract
The retail experience is undergoing significant changes due to a confluence of pervasive computing technologies, such as affordable smartphones with a plethora of retail applications, social media, sensing and analytics, and wireless technologies. This issue contains three articles that examine some of the opportunities and challenges in the pervasive retail space.
