Abstract
An investigation of the final degree classifications of electronic and electrical engineering graduates over a three year period is presented. It is shown that industrial experience gained either in formal sandwich course arrangements or via concurrent work experience correlates with improved degree performance. Possible reasons, attitudinal rather than cognitive, for this relationship are explored.
