  • Abstract
The Wigner distribution relation between the two input and output time-varying spectra of the linear time-variant system is derived. This mathematical relationship can show how a time-variant system modifies the time-varying spectrum of the input to determine that of the output, and this result will be very useful for time-variant filtering in the mixed time-frequency domain. A linear time-variant digital filtering example is used to show the effect of time-variant filtering by using the Wigner distribution
