Density Measurement System. An Accu-Ray density system which measures and/or controls fluid density, specific gravity, percent solids, or related quantity has been announced by Industrial Nucleonics Corporation, 1205 Chesapeake Ave., Columbus, Ohio. This new density unit is applicable to liquids, slurries, and flaked, granulated, powdered, or other divided solids. Based on the principles of gamma ray transmission from a radiosotope, the system makes no physical contact with the flowing material. Measurements are also independent of flow rate and pressure.
