Abstract
This paper brings some practical examples how to create and utilize fractional-order two-terminal devices in analog filtering applications. Starting with desired decimal order of designed fractional-order element its passive circuit approximant is introduced and values of network components are calculated by using analytical formulas as well as Orcad Pspice optimizer. Then final device becomes a part of analog order-less-than-one continuous-time filters and verified by simulation. Advantages and drawbacks of the individual circuit structures are briefly discussed as well as future topics in this scientific area.
