Abstract
PIFA antennas and canonical microstrip antennas made of conductive yarn patterns embroidered into several clothing fabrics are investigated in ISM 2.4 band. The effect of lockstitch pattern onto the length of current path is studied for two conductive yarns of different mechanical properties. It is found that proposed procedure enables some size reduction in antennas and is applicable in design of wearable antennas.
