Abstract
Most students, especially at the undergraduate level, have no idea what
their professors do besides teaching. They see their professors show up prepared
for class and turn back graded papers, quizzes, or exams. They have no clue
what the professors do when not teaching. This article is intended to give
a brief discussion on what professors do. Although this will help all students
in general, it will especially help students who desire to be professors.
