Abstract
This paper proposes a reduced order generalized integrator (ROGI) based selective harmonic compensation (SHC) current controller for shunt active power filter. The ROGI requires only half computations of the conventional second order generalized integrator (SOGI), and is implemented in stationary reference frame without using rotating coordinate transformations. Thus, the proposed SHC method requires less computation consumption than that of the conventional SHC schemes. Moreover, ROGI is sensitive to both sequence and frequency; it can be assigned with individual gain and bandwidth for different sequence and frequency harmonics. The validity of the proposed controller is confirmed by the simulation and experiment results.
