Abstract :
The Society of Research Administrators is a rapidly growing, nonprofit organization solely dedicated to the improvement of research administration as an advanced and vital function. Our membership exceeds 1300 administrators, deriving from 797 colleges and universities, 203 industrial corporations, 187 nonprofit institutes and foundations, 109 hospitals and medical centers and 87 state and governmental agencies. In addition to annual meetings for the entire society, as well as regional meetings, we are engaged in international programs, which include publication of the Journal of the Society of Research Administrators, a singular quarterly publication with a readership of several thousand.
