Abstract :
In this paper, the authors consider the solution of the vector wave equation for electromagnetic field analysis by a discrete time vector finite element method. The popular linear edge basis functions are augmented such that the resulting capacitance matrix is diagonal, resulting in an explicit method. The accuracy and efficiency of the method is investigated via computer experiments
