Abstract :
Adaptive polar work-function predistortion (WFP) reduces the spectral regrowth of radio frequency power amplifiers such as those used in the telecommunications industry. This paper describes adaptive polar WFP equations and a system implementation. The system description includes an adaptive digital signal processing (DSP) algorithm based on measurement of out-of-band performance. It includes a discussion of the strengths and weaknesses of the DSP algorithm used and presents some current results with wideband modulation signals
