Abstract :
A new programmable, divide-by-N counter algorithm is proposed. This method can generate a 50% duty-cycle output waveform. Compared with the Johnson counter, the proposed method is more efficient and does not possess any faulty loops. Experimental results verify the validity of the algorithm
