Notice to readers [subscription costs]

To cover the costs of publishing Technology and Society , CSIT and the Technical Activities Board have decided to charge a subscription fee of two dollars a year (4 issues) starting in 1978, payable when you pay your regular IEEE membership dues. For the convenience of readers, IEEE members currently receiving TECHNOLOGY AND SOCIETY will automatically be included on the mailing list (and charged the US$2 for 1978) unless they cross out the entry "CSIT" on their 1978 Membership Renewal Notice and deduct the $2 from their remittance. Detailed instructions for terminating subscriptions are contained in the Periodicals brochure which is enclosed with your Membership Renewal Notice.
