  • Abstract
    Acoustic Wave Interactions With Specular and Diffusive Scattering Surfaces: The cover shows simulated acoustic wave propagation from (a) a piston and (b)-(c) linear array transducer geometry when reflecting against (a)-(b) specular or (c) diffusive scattering surfaces. Sensitivity to off-axis reflections is highest with linear array geometry as a result of grating lobes. Off-axis reflections are strongest when the surface is specular rather than diffusive.
