Abstract
Each spring at California State University at Chico (CSUC) a week long celebration is held commemorating the pioneering figures of this country since the turn of the century. Fraternities, sororities, and other campus organizations participate in various activities throughout the week known as Pioneer Days. The festivities are culminated with a parade which is the second largest annually held parade in California. (The Rose parade is the largest.) The 1986 Pioneer Days marked the first time an IEEE Student Branch at CSUC has entered a float in this parade.
