  • Abstract
The perfectly matched layer (PML) is usually used with a profile of variable conductivity which decreases numerical reflections. The authors prove that this is a problem of field representation and not of conductivity discontinuity, which leads to the proposal of a non-uniform map of space using constant conductivity
