Abstract :
We propose a novel grating-in-etalon device for wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) applications. After presenting the device concept and a specific design of the device configuration, we report a first proof-of-concept demonstration of a 1/spl times/40 polarization insensitive WDM device in LiNbO/sub 3/.
