Abstract :
90-wavelength Q-switched fiber laser is demonstrated, utilizing scanning Fabry-Perot filter for switching the wavelength and cavity finesse, simultaneously. This technique offers the advantage of short switching time, low insertion loss, high extinction ratio, and low-drive voltage requirement. The technique is straightforward to implement and allows electrical control of lasing wavelengths, number of wavelength channels and pulsewidth.
