Abstract :
The zinc/bromine battery is capable of providing energy storage for durations of 2-10 hours. The advanced battery technology is in the early stages of commercialisation, with prototype systems ranging in size from 50 to 400 kWh. The turn around efficiencies for these systems is higher than 70%, and the projected system costs for a turnkey battery system are expected to be under $400/kWh at modest production levels.
