Abstract
Ventricular late potentials are usually recovered by signal averaging techniques. Some recent studies have commented on the use of adaptive filtering techniques for the detection of these potentials on a beat-to-beat basis. The author reports an evaluation of the technique of adaptive line enhancement in this role. The ensemble of results suggests that the technique is unsuitable for the application.
