Two questions that have dogged the designers of spacecraft crew stations concern how much information can be crammed onto a display before the display becomes confusing to astronauts, and how many controls they can effectively use. In the early days of space exploration, the designers of spacecraft got their answers from the builders of airliners. Today the airline engineers borrow from spacecraft designers.
