Abstract :
This article explores a hot issue about the diagnosis of the drive behavior that affects on enhancing road safety. A novel vehicle dynamics state prediction system, combined with localization, infrastructure to vehicle (I2V) communication modules is developed to forecast the vehicle state in a future instant. The vehicle dynamics parameters, such as vertical and lateral tire forces, have been firstly predicted using the method of predicting fundamental parameters based on the proposed hypothesis and road geometry. The evaluation indexes of vehicle rollover and lateral skid denote a generalization of the risk evaluation using vehicle dynamics characteristics. This innovated method is able to predict the potential risk and denote the curve warning speed before entering the approaching curve. The experimental validation of the whole system (including in-vehicle system, roadside unit and communication) is also considered as an essential feature in this article.
