Abstract :
We introduce a transmission scheme for ISDB-T, and proposes a soft-decision decoding technique for ISDB-T receivers to improve the reception performance under multipath distortion and interference from analog television signals. We propose two techniques that apply estimated the channel frequency response for each carrier to the derivation of soft-decision metrics in 64QAM-OFDM. We present Viterbi soft-decision decoding characteristics by these proposed techniques for AWGN transmission paths, multipath conditions. We also propose a soft-decision technique that erases the data of carriers exhibiting large disturbance
