Abstract :
Spectrum sensing and its efficient utilization has proved its essence of significance in an emerging field of intelligent wireless communication system “Cognitive Radio Ad Hoc Network”. In this context, suitable as well as enhanced spectrum detection seems to be inevitable and serves as an essential component after sensing the spectrum. This paper envisages spectrum sensing to detect reliable and efficient spectrum for effective communication in cognitive radio ad hoc network. The detection of better spectrum has been achieved by fuzzy concept using the statistical primary user activity and channel capacity. Using this novel concept the proposed method provides reliable communication than the conventional spectrum sensing and its selection. It implies the efficiency to be improved in terms of throughput of the proposed method.
