Abstract :
The realization of a short-time DFT (discrete Fourier transform) Hilbert transformer that is based on instantaneous spectrum analysis is described. Its circuitry configuration, unit sample response, and phase shifting function are described. Computer simulation demonstrates the distortion-free and error-free functioning of this transformer. It is found that the ST-DFT Hilbert transformer can exceed L.R. Rabiner and R.W. Schafer´s (1974) minimax transformer in both phase-shifting accuracy and speed of transient response
