Abstract :
This paper presents a new and efficient method for time domain response and sensitivity analysis of periodically switched nonlinear (PSN) circuits. By representing the nonlinear characteristics using Volterra functional series and interpolating Fourier series, the response and sensitivity of PSN circuits are obtained. The method correctly handles the inconsistent initial conditions that may occur at switching instants by extending the previously proposed two-step algorithm to switched nonlinear circuits. The algorithms have been implemented in a computer program. Example PSN circuits are analyzed and the results are compared with those from PSPICE simulation and the Brute-Force method. An excellent agreement has been obtained.
