Abstract :
The present paper concerns the possibility to increase speech intelligibility in a communication system in a strong external acoustic noise. The result is achieved by using adaptive frequency spectrum correction by increasing the speech base frequency. To determine the instantaneous speech base period the method developed through a combination of cepstral and correlation methods is applied.
