Abstract :
The present paper concerns the cavity resonators with a shape of paraboloids of revolution. Comparison of oscillation modes in cylindrical cavities with cavities in the form of paraboloids of revolution is carried out. The possibility of a similar classification parabolic cavities in the lower types of oscillations is demonstrated. Approaches to the numerical calculations of the electrodynamic characteristics of such resonators are determined. Application areas of cavities in the form of paraboloids of revolution are considered.
