Abstract :
A distributed temperature sensor, which can be used both for the early detection and monitoring of a fire has been demonstrated to be particularly well adapted to aeronautic applications. A platform to study the different control parameters has been set so as to be ready for a following phase, which would be the full development of an aeronautic control unit. For the specific application, cargo fire detection and water mist activation, suitable algorithms have been developed to target low water consumption and an efficient structure integrity control.
