Abstract :
This paper studies a downlink antenna weight control method of adaptive array antenna at the base station in FDD/W-CDMA systems based on the location information of both the direction of arrival (DOA) and the distance between the base station and mobile unit. We introduce a power weight function added to transmitter power according to the distance from BS in order to improve CIR of users far from BS taking a multi-cell system environment into account. And we clarify that our proposed method is very effective to increase the user´s capacity in the downlink for a multi-cell system.
