Abstract :
We investigate the possibility of using ultra-wideband (UWB) signals for nonlinear location, when using the perturbations of the scattered field it is required to determine the presence or absence of nonlinear inclusions in the field of observation. The proposed solution is to compare the shape of UWB pulses reflected from a given field sensing in two modes - switched off mode and in case of additional generator microwave illumination. If the non-linear element is present in the areas of sensing, and microwave power of illumination is high enough, the first and second reflected UWB pulses will vary in shape. If the difference in the form of pulses is significant, we assume a nonlinear element presence in the region under study.
