Abstract :
Determination of impedance is essential to understanding and designing induction cooker. This paper discusses the predict the change in impedance by the variation of operation frequency and vessel diameter of an induction cooker. For this purpose a simple and reliable class E inverter for induction heating application has been chosen as a power circuit because it can cope with a wide range of load conditions. Details of the study are presented along with simulation and practical results The results obtained show that the impedance can be calculated by the proposed linear interpolation formula precisely. This study simplifies design procedure and necessity of number of measurements.
