Abstract
Summary form only given. Core losses of ferromagnetic composite materials (LIFE) were measured versus frequency and induction level at room temperature. The composites consist of alternated layers of ferromagnetic alloys (thickness 1 to 3 /spl mu/m) and insulating polymer (Mylar or Kapton, thickness 3 to 12 /spl mu/m). We compared with the core losses and the permeability of high performance polycrystalline ferrites.
